Bundil App

Dmitri Love’s story started when he was attending biochemistry at the University of Arkansas.  Love was an enthusiastic soccer player, and after a severe knee injury, he sidelined, for a long recovery.  Love then taught himself to code and became a software engineer.

Love is a web developer and wanted to invest in cryptocurrency, and so was his family.  Love’s family came to him and asks various questions regarding cryptocurrency, how to buy them, and what to do.  Love believed there could be an effortless way for it. Then the inspiration for Bundil struck.

In October 2017, Dmitri Love co-founded Bundil, an app that provides consumers to automatically invest spare money from debit or credit card purchases into different forms of cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin, LiteCoin, Ethereum, and bitcoin crash.  The platform rounds up everyday transactions to the nearest dollar and then invests the resulting spare money into crypto. Bundil app also offers amazing features include rounding options, snooze roundup, withdraw or buy extra anytime, and super easy to use.

In April 2018, Love launched Bundil app on Product Hunt.  In October 2018, Love was invited onto Shark Tank to negotiate with the Shark Tank’s investors, seeking for a $100,000 investment for a 10% equity of his company, thereby valuing the app at $1 million.  Love’s Shark Tank pitch was far away from excellent; he stumbled over his words more than once, losing his place, and pausing to assemble himself. But instead of grinding their teeth into him, the Shark investors urged him to keep going, and Love did.

Most of the Shark investors had concerns and dropped out.  Lori Greiner was not sold on the concept of cryptocurrency in general.  Mark Cuban was already invested in a similar company. Daymond John did not like the volatility of the digital currency space.  Guest judged and CEO of RSE Ventures, Matt Higgins, opted out.

The main concern for the investor is that up to 80% of micro-investment companies collapse within three years due to the volatility of the market.  Still, O’Leary sees a future as he runs another business in this field. O’Leary proposed a $100,000 investment in exchange of 50% equity of the company, effective devaluing the company by 80%.  Love still struck the deal from Kevin O’Leary, although he thought the 50% was quite a bit.

The app gathers the spare money from debit and credit card transactions.  Then it micro-invests that extra money into a cryptocurrency of user’s preference.  Therefore, users are still getting extra money but ultimately investing it. The subscription-based app requires $3 a month and $24 a year.
